Student Council Rocks!!!
GIS student council is a group of 14 fifth and sixth graders
who devote part of their day to serve Gilmer Intermediate. Students have already spent time creating a
marketing campaign for our current service project “Coins for Cancer Kids”. They have also prepared decorations and
invitations for our Grandparents Day breakfast.
Student council members are responsible for our monthly campus
newsletter, yearbook photographs, and “spotlight” teacher interviews. This is a great group of student leaders at
Gilmer Intermediate.
Grandparents Day was also a huge success this morning! We were so excited to see all of the grandparents here supporting their Gilmer Intermediate students. Thank you to all of the grandparents who have helped make our students the BEST!!!
