Tournament of Books Information

Tournament of Books READING CHALLENGE!!

If you would like to participate in the Tournament of Books this year, please take note of the following things:

·       Sign-ups  will be February 1-4

o   Begin reading the Sweet 16 books

·       First meeting February 17^th; 7:30 am ; in the library

o   Fill out brackets & turn in

o   Get tracking sheets

·       Second Meeting March 2; 7:30 am; library

o   Check tracking sheets

o   Book talks and bubbles

·       Third Meeting March 16; 7:30 am; library

o   Check tracking sheets

o   Book talks and basketball

·       Voting March 22-24; Winning books and Prize winners will be announced the following week.

Prize Winning Opportunities!!

·       Each team you get correct on your bracket will earn you 3 pts.  Whoever gets the most points will win a prize!!

·       Each time you vote & complete a book in the Tournaments of Books you will be entered into a drawing for a prize!!

Get ready Gilmer Intermediate! Our next reading challenge starts soon.  We are getting ready for March Madness early.  The Sweet Sixteen books are sure to be a SLAM DUNK!!  Details to come...

Bluebonnet Vote

Today, Gilmer Intermediate students voted on their favorite Bluebonnet nominated book.  Each student was required to read at least 5 of the nominated books in order to vote.  They attended regular meetings throughout the fall!!
