Well, Gilmer 6th Graders did!! Mrs. Laster and Mrs. Fritsche brought their Language Arts classes into the library to get some practice with figurative language...At each station students used iPods to watch a short video about each type of figurative language before they had to write their very own!! They came up with some really creative similes, hyperboles, metaphors and MORE... Check it out below!
And here are some examples of what they said...
"The birthday cake was a sweet celebration"~ metaphor
"The lightning was tackling the ground"~ personification
"Crackle, hiss, pop went the campfire"~ onomatopoeia
